Features

Everything in one calm place.

Darb Family is in development. This is what the first release is designed to include, and the limits that come with it. The screens are from the app as it is being built, with sample data.

Islamic learning

  • Six areas: everyday duas, salah, adab and character, Islamic knowledge, seerah and stories, shared Qur’an learning
  • Text and audio, with the source and review status of every lesson
  • Download lessons and audio for use offline
  • Choose a general approach, or Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i or Hanbali where views differ
In development. Lessons are published only after qualified review; the screen shows sample lessons.

Routines and the family calendar

  • Daily, weekly and one-off routines, personal or shared
  • One tick marks a shared routine done for everyone, with who did it
  • Change one day or the whole series
  • Optional reminders on your phone
Works offline and catches up when you are back online.

Today, at a glance

  • Home shows today’s routines and your family goals
  • Mark a routine done straight from Home
  • A child’s own Home, with only what a guardian allows
Children never see adults’ personal routines.

Family goals

  • Set a goal for the family, with a target
  • Each person adds their own part, deliberately
  • A shared total and the people taking part
A goal never shows anyone’s private progress.

  • Milestones from your own lessons and routines
  • Progress you can see, without a score
No streaks to lose, no rankings and no comparisons.

Your family space

  • Invite another adult to the family
  • Add children, with you as their guardian
  • Clear roles: admin, payer and guardian are separate
Only verified guardians see a child’s learning or tutor history.

Guardian controls

  • Pair a child’s own device, or use child mode on a shared one
  • Adult authentication to leave child mode
  • Switch the planned tutor on or off for each child
  • Read a child’s tutor conversations for 90 days
The final guardianship policy is still being developed.

A careful tutor (planned)

  • Typed questions, answered only from the reviewed library
  • Each answer names the lesson it comes from
  • Says so when the library does not cover a question
Not available yet. It needs a guardian to switch it on and an internet connection. It is not a fatwa service, and answers can be wrong.
